A JAPANESE CONTEMPORARY ARTIST BORN IN TOKYO, 1966
He began his career as an art director at a record label. He developed his unique Japanese painting "Neo Nihonga" style which revives Japanese traditional paintings as a contemporary art. He further proposed a style he calls Butouha, as a means for fighting against the authoritative art system by way of painting. Since the early 2000s, his works have been exhibited all over the world.
